You give Engles a lot of credit for running for the win at USA's rather than just running to get on the team. And you said that Gregorek probably wouldn't of made the team if Engles hadn't raced to win. Couldn't the exact same things be said for Blankenship???
I'd go Robby 1, Gregorek 2, Centro 3, Blankenship 4, Engles 5.
Going off memory alone, I seem to remember Ben beating Robby and/or Johnny at least once (at track town summer series) and he also beat them at the New York road mile... On top of being the indoor champion. I can see Engles being ranked ahead of him ONLY if he has more head-to-head wins, do you have any idea on the record between Ben and Craig in 2017?
Just my opinion, thanks for the rankings!!!
Clearly Manangoi was #1 in 17, but not sure why the writer of the article quoted him as a 46.5 man. That was a hand time, and therefore not recognised as an official pb, otherwise plenty of guys could declare their pbs based on hand timed training runs.
He is officially a 47.33 400 guy, and even that is at altitude, so more like 47.5.
