Pretty good, but Miami (OH) should not be in your list of receiving points if Eastern Michigan isn't also there. In the MAC, Eastern Michigan has the best committed class already, headed by Ohio's Andy Payne.

Eastern Michigan's class is hardly comparable to Miami's, at the moment. They have two signed athletes and neither one of them crack this list. Miami has an international athlete that does make this list, and this doesn't include the two guys that are both better than Eastern's second signee. So no, Eastern Michigan does not have the best class in the MAC.
Of course al of this means nothing since it doesn't take into account foreign athletes that each school adds.
It means quite a bit more than nothing. As I stated above, I don't have all international information which would definitely change the rankings near the middle/bottom. I feel like any international athlete that would make an immediate impact was discussed in the recruiting threads posted on letsrun in the past few months (Mario Romo, Sub 4 guy that's going to Nebraska, the talented New Zealanders, etc.) so I think at the top it's pretty accurate. If anyone has any more information on international athletes, feel free to share that with me.

You do not know of all of Eastern Michigan's signees. Also, Andy Payne will be the best MAC signee this year for cross country and longer races in track.

Also, there is a reason why runners get better at Eastern Michigan and don't improve much if at all at Miami. Runners go to Miami if they want to party. They go to Eastern Michigan if they want to be serious about running and want to improve.

Maybe in the past with Miami's old staff, but simply put, that probably isn't true anymore. Also, many of Eastern's guys have actually regressed over the past couple years. Although this is the case, they are always a strong team when it matters.

No, it is true, unfortunately. They drink big time at Miami, and that is the atmosphere there. Eastern Michigan's Hlynur Andresson, who just won the MAC CC title in the fall and qualified for Nationals, was a 9:45 guy in high school, and he only broke 10:00 that one time. Coach Goodridge at EMU has a long history of developing mediocre high school athletes into great runners. This will continue with the 2018 class that is coming in.

You come off as someone who is trying to trash a program. That atmospheric claim could me made at a ton of decent running programs across the nation. I guess time will tell. I’ll take note of the MAC results over the next few seasons. And that shows a lot of ability to develop by Goodridge, which is great, but don’t forget this is a ranking of recruiting classes.
My user name tells all. I happen to know about the atmosphere at Miami. Just telling the truth. Also, the strength of the recruiting classes will be determined by how they perform next year, and with Eastern Michigan having the top recruit in the conference in Andy Payne, and a superior coach, Eastern Michigan will be shown to have the best class.

I would consider myself someone who would have a pretty good idea as well, so your name doesn't really tell me much. Once again, Eastern does not have the best recruit in the conference. Actually he's probably 3rd right now. All you have to do is go research a bit. And next year, once racing starts, it's not about who had the best recruits. It will be about which team is better, and that holds true in every conference. As I stated before, this is about who has the best current recruiting classes based on 2016-2017 track and 2017-2018 xc.
Nice work! Thx for sharing. Any energy left to tackle the women’s side.
No problem. Now that the season has started back up it may take a few weeks but I’ll probably give it a shot.
No. Eastern has the top MAC recruit. We weren't talking about who will have the best team. For cross country next year, Eastern Michigan has a great chance to continue the streak of MAC championships. EMU had the top two freshmen in the conference this past season, and a very solid sophomore. Add the best recruiting class for CC for 2018 along with the top recruit, and they have a good chance to win again.
Thanks for doing this and sharing your data. Can we get more? Like, a LOT more? Specifically, I'd love to see each school's list of athletes that are adding points and exactly how many points they are adding. If you have any explanation as to why, that'd be fun, but mostly just seeing the numbers next to the name would be really telling and interesting and I'm assuming you already have all that so it wouldn't require more than copying and pasting the data, right?
Now you just seem like a homer. For the last time, based on my findings, Eastern doesn't have the best class or the best recruit within that class. Actual stats don't lie. My list actually goes 40 deep, and Eastern is not within that 40. "Also, the strength of the recruiting classes will be determined by how they perform next year" = you were the one that brought up next fall's xc results, which has nothing to do with what I've ranked. I looked at MAC the results and they also lost 4 of their 5 scorers so winning again is not going to be easy. That's the last thing I'm going to say regarding this.
You haven't shown the two recruits that are better than EMU's top recruit. EMU will win CC again in the fall due to their top recruiting class along with the strong underclassmen they already have.
I know it’s a little late but Jett Charvet committed to UCLA.
Thanks. Still looking for info on James Mwaura, Scott Thompson, Lucas Bons, Charlie Kern, James Lee, Kieran Mcdermitt, Jed Helker, Harrison Scudamore, Carlos Carvajal, Raymon Ornelas, Jorge Estrella, Tyler Spencer, Brandon Garnica, Ahmed Hassan, Jack Landgraf, Fahd Nasser, Wesley Schiek, Liam Conway, Andrew Mah, Jared Schuckman, Ben Stasney, Paul McKinley, Brendan Siefker, Philip Lambert, Isaiah Claiborne, Elias Opsahl, Andrew Delvecchio, Nate Pendleton, and Zach Arias.
