Jakob made it look easy, really easy.
Jogged until it was 200m left and then took over.

He made it look very easy because it was very easy. He’s already proven he’s better than European teens. What did he gain by jogging for all but the last 50 meters? Nothing that will serve him well in better competition. Why not try senior ranks, to better challenge himself?
Obviously the kid is incredible and another title is nothing to sneeze at. It’s that he’s this good that I’m confused as to why his victory is a big deal.

Winning medals at these events is a big deal to a small country. It didn't take much out of him and he got the gold.
I would say job done.
If he would have run NCAA DI XC nationals, Justin knight would have made his lil kick look like S***. Bet he wouldn’t have waving his hands like that!
Ok what about wrote:

Justyn Knight is like 4 years older than him lol

What about the high school champs, you know, the event that he would be running if he were American?

I believe this kids feels he’s on the level of college/pro runners so I think him racing Justin knight would be better to watch than high school kids in america. So what happens when knight turns on the jets? Answer that
Knight would destroy him, grand fisher would probably out kick him also
of course it is solid for a 17 year old to beat all the 18 and 19 year olds who don't turn 20 this year, but the Euro xc competition is pretty weak. He should be testing himself at a higher level than picking up lots of uncompetitive championships.
An 8:25 steepler or so would certainly be taking FL and NXN easily against talents at the level of 3:59-4:00 mile and 8:40s 2M, but would probably lose NCAA xc by a lot.
YES, HE should have been at FL
lol. justn knight

Completely irrelevant. Nobody really expects teen phenoms to beat every level of runner.

As a 16-year old, here's how his times would have ranked in the NCAA outdoor performance list against competitors 5-6 years older than him:
1500m: 4th (3:39.92 - and his mile time is even better)
5000m: 4th (13:35.84)
3000m steeple: 1st (8:26.81 - 13 seconds faster than everyone in NCAA)
I really don't think he would be blown away by American college runners.

If he'd competed in the seniors no doubt you'd be moaning at his brothers for burning him out too early.

I gotta side with this guy. I actually think Ingebrigtsen would be all the way up there. I think Knight would have beaten him, but not destroyed.
The fastest 3000m steeple time in the NCAA was 8:39?
Lol, for all the credit the NCAA gets about depth and stuff, that's atrocious.

That’s a fair point. Maybe not me, but someone. When you’re this good at 17, you’ll get criticism no matter what. Doesn’t meant the criticism is fair.
It seems like this kid has been racing regularly for a year straight. Am I wrong? Has he had an offseason?
Now that Jakob is 18 he would destroy your scumbag who's 23 yo on EVERY EVENTS
JK 23yo pb : 1'52 ; 3'36 ; 13'09
JI 18yo pb : 1'49 ; 3'30 ; 13'02
Jakob hasn't even been on the right race and with one 5000 attempt he destroyed the whole carrier of your scumbag
This 18yo is number 2 in the world on 1500m and 10 in 5000m while your justyn is 136 and 24
So next time shut up and compare the comparable
