Early season workout. 2-mile tempo (11:25 total time) followed by 12x200 all between 29-31 with 1-1:30 rest. Last 200 was a 28.
Any thoughts on a good goal 800 time for my first race of the season?

Your tempo sucked but your 200 indicate maybe a sub 200. Go do a 8 to 12 x 300m with 100m rest and that is a good indicator of your current 800m time.

Calm down. For a sub 2 HS kid who is maybe a 400-800 type, that's a pretty solid tempo. Clearly it didn't tire him out too much based on the 200s.
Bump
what's your pb?
mileage?
age?
years of running?
Need some more info
But based on this workout alone you should shoot for 1:59-2:01 (well obviously 1:59, but that range seems most likely for the workout above)
