Very cool to see Khalid Khanouchi

Tadese's mysterious marathon underperformance continues.
I am out of the loop, was there a video on Flotrack of Hasay lifting weights? Or where did people see this?
WHAT will Rupp do with his cool $100k?
Baller watch?
Baller car?
Baller kitchen?
Baller pool?
The dude will be living like a FREAK!

Is that not true?
Actually, it's about the stupidest possible take you could have on what he did today.
(Which of course makes it exactly what you'd expect from 95% of the LR basement-dwellers.)

Pretty amazing for Hasay to set an American record after dropping out with a hamstring injury.
Well done boys!
heavy weights that close to race allowed for sprint finish and sub 221
I watched on NBC Sports Gold.
I have to say that the quality of the video was excellent. It is not so long since we suffered pixilated disruptions and loss of the feed at key moments during a race.
This is a big step forward.
There is still room for improvement: I would like NASCAR style continuously updated positions.
Congratulations to all who ran today and produced the event.

I think it just paid off.

Once she dropped those weights, she ran a lot faster! Well done.

Ya, there was a big thread on it here. Should still be in the first couple pages if you look for it.
In summary, she was pushing big weights and we all thought it was stupid because we obviously know more than the best-researched and best-funded elite running program in the world.
Chris derrick had a nice finish and time. 02:12:50 and within the top 10

Or does he just put it away to pay for one year of college for the twins?
ouch.

Hopefully Galen Rupp finally gets some respect on LetsRun. I've never understood LetsRun Americans hate for arguably their best runner ever. He's been nothing but nice under the circumstances.
Maybe because he is known to have done some very dubious sh*t, not to say doping?
Rupp does have a personality - at the finish his youngest was fast asleep in his wife's baby holder and said 'He looks thrilled hey' - fair play buddy!

Well they've hated on him since like high school
It was a great day for Americans. Rupp said he hoped to run 2:05-6 but his goal was to win and never said he was going to push the pace. He ran a very smart race and did what he needed to win.
Racing is great. It doesn't always have to be a time trial. I am critical of Rupp for many things, but today he did what he needed to do and was brilliant.

$100K is not that much money dude. Let's hope he doesn't blow it. At least not on a watch or a car.

You obviously know what you are talking about... Second fastest American
SkaDouche
No love for Rupp from Chicago Marathon App
Still shows Kirui as overall winner... cold blooded
How do u post pics on this forum?

She's an elite runner, she likes to challenge herself. She has plenty of marathons in the future to run a more strategically, so why not go for it here and she what she can do?
It all came around properly. She *didn't* crater and came away with a real prize here: 3rd + PB. Amazing run by Hasay. She continues to prove herself as the cream of the USA women's crop. Impressed.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
