I'm trying to get some lightweight orthotics for over pronation. Went to a podiatrist. He tried to sell me big heavy things not made for running. He was a fat guy who was clueless about running. Anyone have a recomendation?

Powerstep 3/4 length.
Great preventative for many common running ailments and so light you won't know they are in yyour shoes.
The Superfeet Carbon insoles have worked great for me. However, like some reviews say they can be super squeaky.

I agree. Powerstep is the way to go. Not a high price and will give you better support than any over the counter. Look for powerstep "pro tech" line
I like the Hapad athletic insoles. Did wonders for my plantar fasciitis.
I get foot levelers from my chiropractor. They make a lighter weight one for running.
