Based on the title I assumed Mike Rossi was in the race.

Perhaps she was lucky to win at WC. Ever think of that?

Like that Australian speed skater that won gold at the winter Olympics in Turin after a pile up of the favourites ahead of him.
I don't understand how people keep saying that Coburn got lucky. She ran 9:02 letting up at the line. If she runs that yesterday she's still 3rd and is close to getting Chepkoech. She has the ability to run with the best in the world. Her splits at world's indicate she can go sub 9. Even if Jebet is running mid 8:50's that's not out of reach.
Coburn set a meet record, I don't think that should be considered lucky. To say she'll never win anything again is a joke.

I can see Jebet being ranked 1 this year, her 8:55 is too good to be ignored. Emma will be either be second or third depending on where Beatrice is ranked.
Beatrice has beaten Emma every time except for her brain lapse in London. Anyway, I can't believe they cut her off in that LetsRun video when she mentioned going for the world record next year. Maybe they just missed it because of her accent or they didn't take her seriously.

Yeah, I thought Ksczcsot was going to win that 800 final too!
After Korir failed to get through, I thought it would be Amos or Bett. The Aussie speed skater guy was from Salt Lake City, btw. Not Turin.
The surprise is when she beats the Kenyans not when she loses. London was a fluke that probably won't be replicated. She's a great runner but not on the level of the top Kenyans.

How many years ago was that?
Coburn would have been second if that 4th-place Kenyan chick hadn't gone the wrong way in the WC steeple.
Emma will likely run 8:50+/- next year for sure leading to another easy steeplechase gold in 2018. Jebet will get busted in the meantime. Too suspicious.
It seems like Emma is able to peak for the right meets. 6 USA Championships, Olympic Bronze and World Championship Gold! She beat Chepkoich in both of those. The way she looked in London, I think she could have easily broken 9:00 minutes if she had to push harder to win.Just a smart racer with great coaching.

She has an Olympic bronze, numb nuts.
the return of the dopers , very simple ....
the worlds were a once off , cause they actually
called out the dopers and
used tests that are available for testosterone and recent epo use.
why they cant continue to do this , is the bigger question
along with usual behind the scenes carry on .
I think she wins even if the African didn't mess up the water jump. Who cares? That is part of a race. Falls, DQ's. Emma beat her by about 10 seconds and was flying. She has beaten all of the Africans at various times. Just beat Jepkomich in Zurich.

Everything had to go right that's for sure!! That's why they race! Emma is cool!
She was just getting out of the final water pit when the winner finished this week. That's a long way off
seriously. I really wonder if Beatrice Chepkoech didn't throw the race when she made the wrong turn at the water jump. Knew she wouldn't pass the test if she placed.
Emma is peaking for her wedding after taking first at worlds....
