It's been around 7 weeks since I think I strained my quad. I fell down a few stairs but my arms caught myself on the floor above me, thus pulling on my lower body.
Somedays I don't feel it, somedays I do. Either way, I can't get the darned thing to stop hurting permanently. The shorter the interval, the more it's bothered (200m is fine, but I've had to drop out of strides before). Usually it doesn't hurt except with strides or when resting.
It hasn't upset my season; I ran a huge PR just two weeks ago and have improved all my interval times. Yet it won't go away. Somedays, after I've irritated it, it hurts to the touch. I've tried 2 sports massages; it went away for a week after the first one but it didn't even lessen after the 2nd one.
What should I do? I still have one last race to go, so taking days off isn't ideal.
