I'm jealous of many of you.
5'9", 155, midfoot striker, moderate overpronator, about 50 mpw. 16:00 5k'er when I'm motivated to train hard,
I keep at least 2 pairs in a rotation so I never do 2 runs in a row with the same shoe. I get about 200 miles out of a light trainer style model (Brooks Purecadence, NB Vazee Prism), and 350-400 out of a standard trainer (NB Vongo, Saucony Guide). By that point i can feel pea sized rocks quite distinctly through the shoe and often can fold the shoe in half forward (so the outsole in the toe touches the outsole in the heel). Plenty of experience pushing shoes past this point has me know a foot or shin injury isn't far behind once the shoes get to that point.
Maybe smoove and I should set up a shoe exchange, the back 1/3rd of my shoes toward the heel have almost no wear.
