Nothing against women, but a lot of them are just better at networking and know how to work cliques, so they able to make connections better. And that starts in high school/college. A lot of the popular girls in HS have great jobs now b/c they understand social networks.
As a journo learning web dev and coding, I'm trying to become more marketable so that I can stand out. A lot of PR/journo types are women who got by with hard work and beauty, but if you don't have physical beauty you have to compensate by being more diverse/unique than them.
If you were/are a beta male who loved video games (I got away from that once I realized it wasn't reality and it wouldn't get me any girls) women will pick up on that intuitively and stay away.
Men: Get educated, get diverse and outwork everyone. Women are just as competitive as men, if not more so. Plus they are in charge of HR so you have to overcome that obstacle!
