It would be pretty cool if Kipchoge returned to the track and won another 5k title. How would that be for a gap between titles?

Mo hasn't been in fantastic shape in the Winter on numerous occasions during his run of championships, so the fact that he lost to Kipchoge that day (8:07 two mile) isn't nearly as bad as losing to Heath and others in xc in recent years. By Olympics, he was dominant despite there being about half a dozen sub 12:50 guys at Paris. At Pre, he looked very much on track to dominate once again at World's, but he'll face a test from Kwemoi, possibly, as he did in previous years from Ndiku, if he runs the 5. Kamworor did not exactly look like the 12:32/26 flat guy that calculo was bloviating on about.
I hate Mo. But I think you're right.
Are there not? These are just the runners faster than Farah who have been active and specializing in the 5000m during the period he has dominated the Championships (2011-2016).

Bekele and Kipchoge have 17 performances together all-time that are faster than Mo Farah's 12:53.12.
Eloquent and entertaining :)
No, you know nothing about running, as in zero. Nobody can win every race every time. You pick 2 of the most pathetic examples that I've seen. KB barely eeks out a victory over 13.1 miles and Mo loses a 2 mile race. God forbid he doesn't finish first every time. Honestly, you guys who really think you know your sh*t on this forum are clueless.

This is how to beat Farah:
https://youtu.be/MTaMdJVFdhwBased on this, and the fact that Kipchoge is even in better shape now, Farah would be smoked by him in the 5k, and no doubt that in the 10k as well.
And this- Farah has no kick left forced by an even injured Bekele into a fast steady pace.
https://youtu.be/ZG93u_PTfDAI doubt if Farah would move to the road. Man can't handle long fast steady paces
Neither Bekele or Kipchoge would beat Farah in the world's. They're on the roads because they weren't quite quick enough on the track anymore. Bekele finished out of the medals in 2012 and Kipchoge didn't qualify for the Kenyan team in the 5 or 10. Both are legends but so is Mo so give the guy a break.
I am so fed up of this mo domination, and I am from England. If he gets double gold again this summer then the East Africans should hang their heads in shame. The have had years to foster a talent to beat Mo or execute tactics to get a win and still they come up short, it's pathetic. If he wins he goes out 100% on his terms and will definitely be considered the GOAT championship racer on the track, no argument. Come on Kenya, sort yourself out.
THIS^^^^^^^! You boneheads write someone off because he doesn't win every race? Nutjobs!!!!!
Did you notice that all of SlowMo fans write a lot?
I have one thing to tell you - 12:37! Oh and 26:17!

bekele was gr8 but live 4 the present not the past buddy - 2004! oh and 2005!
True! Unlike SlowMo he lives for the present, that's why he moves on and sets new goals, now being the marathon WR. So does Kipchoge. How ever SlowMo likes to stay in his sit and kick track above 13min 27min comfort zone- not aiming for anything, not even a pb. That is one cowerd and loser. A politician, an opportunist. He will be remembered as a cowerd who could have achieved but never tried. If he moves to the marathon he will probably poisen that field too

How about 3:28?

Mo Farah has the European records at 1500, 10000, and Half Marathon, He is #2 at 5000 12:53, Mourhit ran 12:49, Mourhit also has the 3000 Record 7:26.62 when Farah ran his 8:03.40 for 2 miles indoors, which is worth mid 7:27, do you think he will get the 3 and 5k records this (Supposedly his last) Season, He will attempt the 3k Record on July 9th in London.
Hopefully he can get the 3k and 5k records which would give him the 1500, 3000, 5000, 10000 and Half Marathon European Records and he would need only the Marathon European Record to have 6 European Records.
All these people griping that Mo hasn't chased times, well that isn't exactly true. He's run 3:28 twice, faster than Geb, Bekele, Kipchoge ever did and by a wide margin. Within a year he also ran something like 59:20 for a half. Both would be AR, again by quite a bit. Yet folks thing he can't go faster than his 26:46 from like 5 years ago? Or 12:53 from a similar era? He just doesn't need to.
Zero chance KB or EK could take Mo on the track at any Olympic distance these days. On the roads, there is zero chance Mo would beat either at the marathon, and actually some chance he could beat either at half.
I don't want to like Mo but the data is pretty clear on this. He is the best championship track runner of all time, and he's going to add to that this year.
oh please wrote:

Maybe.
Does Sir Mo have a "secret" training method with very special "secret workouts"???
Answer:
Yes.
Sir Mo likes to do High-volume-High-Intensity training at High Altitude with Hills and Heavy squats…in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Sir Mo is neither lazy nor pudgy at the present time.
Sir Mo is ready to Mobliterate all the other runners on this planet (including Mr. Geoffrey Kamworor trash-talker).
Here is a video of a "secret workout" Mo did in Flagstaff before the Pre 5000m race. At this race Sir Mo Mobliterated all the other runners on this planet at 5000m…including Mr. Geoffrey Kamworor (trash talker).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvtVNKtBrokMo found out about this "Top Secret Workout in Flagstaff™"…from Coach Alberto Salazar.
It turns out that Coach Alberto (who also thinks that he is a doctor, pharmacy…and massage therapist for Galen Rupp)…found about this secret workout... from a Runners World article about "Yasso 800s"... by Bart Yasso.
http://bartyasso.com/800sIn conclusion:
1) Coach Alberto Salazar ripped off Sir Mo's "Top Secret Workout in Flagstaffâ„¢" from Bart Yasso.
2) This is not a big surprise…because Coach Alberto is always ripping off workouts from other people (for another example: Bill Dellinger)...without giving any of the other people credit for the workout. Alberto never wants to admit the fact that he is constantly ripping off workouts from other people.
3) Oh boy Alberto.
Please stop it.
I'm not a huge Mo fan, but I just don't get all the hate. The name of the game is winning races - and he's great at that. The East Africans haven't touched him in years. Mo runs fast enough to win all the major races, just like Tiger always played well enough at the big tournaments. If he needs 12:50 at London, that's what he'll run.
And why chase fictional times (WRs) that literally no one believes are legit?
Mo only improved by 4 seconds at 5000m after joining NOP, going from 12:57 to 12:53.11 and 26:46.57 for 10K.
Improvement from EPO is probably around 15 seconds for 5K and 30 seconds for 10K at the elite level.
What if Mo Farah is clean and lots of the times faster than him on the all-time list are doped?
Then Mo Farah starts to look really fast.
