This year I will be transferring to the 5k in cross country. If I get good base mileage in the summer peaking at maybe 45mpw what can I do my freshman year.
(When I ran the 11:06 I had virtually no base mileage) also since I'm probably more speed based what workouts should I focus on and what should I do this summer workout wise? Thanks.

Just too tough to know...you had decent times for an 8th grader. How it goes for you in the fall depends on lots of things...your physical maturity now and then, if you get in the training, if the training is too much for you, if you get injured, etc. Also, hard to know if you will be better at the 800 or 5000 at this point. Just do the work and find out. Good luck.
