Is it just me (or the picture), or is he jumping really high?

His tactics are a little like Wheating in that he does not seem to want to mix it up in the main pack and risk getting tripped as a guy who is much taller than his competitors. I think that this might be at the root of his problems, because when he talks he seems quite intelligent. This would not excuse going up and back. Wheating had his best race in years this week but in watching the race, you see that he goes out 2nd to last, and then moves outside to run much of the race, gradually moving up while running extra distance and getting very little drafting assistance. He ends up closing in 56, showing that he had more in the tank despite running maybe 1520m with no drafting and being completely out of the race with 400m to go.
3:50 is leisurely for these elites....when run evenlyBut it wasn't (in Rio) and Centro ran the last lap under 51 seconds. So it has no relation whatsoever to your comment. If Kiprop ran the exact same split, he still would have lost because he was way in the back. Lousy strategy in a kickers race Stop writing. Just read.

You'd think a 3:50 1500 would be a very leisurely jog...

Yes, as Rakim would say: "Don't sweat the technique."

Holy heck, that's a decent 5'2" high jump!
Highest hip height ever achieved in a steeple race I would guess. If he did drop out, no wonder he was tired. Jumping like you are going over a 4ft+ high barrier would tire out anyone.
is this actually true? where did you find this on facebook? because I can't find any steeple results for kiprop in the past week
Asbel should go back to bar fighting before EPL matches for race prep. .
The QOD from kiprop, I just noticed has no framing headline from LRC. It was his first time. I was hoping the brojos would bust out the old "you never forget your first time." Lmao
