Hey, I'm just hearing news that the 3000m Steeplechase at Oxy last night won't count, because some of the barriers were set too low. RunnerSpace is reporting it. Any news? I decided to spend the money on a gold subscription. I do think NBC was somewhat unclear about what would be available only on Gold and what would be available on NBCSN. I also expected more coverage beyond what was on the NBCSN broadcasts for the Drake & Penn Relays.
On the plus side, I've liked the DL coverage. I'm hoping that Worlds will be good--they're basically passing along the world feed for the DL, so I'm hoping they'll do the same and give us coverage of everything from Worlds.
I guess it just seemed like a bargain compared to $20 a month for some crappy college meets on Flotrack (which I'm certainly not going to pay for). Seems like a worthwhile way to support the sport. I think it's a pretty good deal if you don't have access to NBCSN. If you do, it's a tougher call.
Aren't Olympic sports the bulk of NBCSN programming (now that hockey about over)? How will NBCSN & Gold BOTH provide quality programming? Note - I said Olympic sports.....not just T&F.
is it just me or am I able to watch highlight videos here

yeah this is rather enjoyable, they made a big mistake not making this available live for free to encourage running in the USA
nice little meet and the women's 5000 and the men's 1500 is exciting
video quality is excellent and it's like those 60fps football games
commentary is far superior to what NBC does for mainstream broadcasts
watching the centro post-interview now
The water jump barrier fell to the womens height on the first jump. It must not have been set properly.
Laura Weightman is fit, dang, nice race
and she is wearing that Nike seasonal clothing/colors only elites can get
I want that Nike shopping catalog!
It occurs to me that Muir is nudging Weightman into the 5000.
Why did I pay for a USATF.tv subscription?
I want my money back, baby, back, baby back

They started the race a bit late after messing around with that barrier for several minutes.
Anybody else notice Mo running in lane 4 on the backstretch for about 100-150 meters appearing to do strides yet coincidentally being perfectly even with Jenkins during his race?
What happened to Brazier? He was sitting in the crowd watching the meet.

THat's big range for Rogers. USA half marathon champ down to 15:08 in the 5k.
She is big time.
Rogers is very impressive. I'm a fan, and very excited about her comeback since the '12 Trials. I really hope she makes the team in a few weeks.
Always psyched when Wheating runs a good time and always hoping that he can build on these performances rather than them being one-off. Maybe training on his own was the key. Hunter's 3:55.86 conversion to mile (x1.08) would be close to a 1 second pr, so continued good progress for him. If he had just run 3:38.39 1500m as a true freshman (but old for his class), plenty would be very excited about that. He has good mile speed for a 5000m runner if that turns out to be his best event, and once he gets down to 3:35-36 should contend for an American team at the 5.
Jenny is going to need sub- 2:00 speed to even be a factor at the Pre.
