I did not run 2:35:11 in 1983. But I am 56 and I do have a pr.
I think that I will not run Boston again this year. My pr is in a safe place.
What weather site shows a high of 61 for Hopkinton? Everything I see says high between 66 and 70...
Temps look similar to last year (low-mid 60s), but wind is in the opposite direction. Too warm to be blazing fast, but the wind will help offset the temps.
Wellesley hourly weather (halfway through course) says 64 degrees at 11 am through the early afternoon

More importantly, the humidity should be under 50% by 10AM.
Good weather for anyone living in a warm climate. Lousy for anyone that is from a snow area. I am from Minnesota and it will be hot for me.
I think the low humidity will really help. Obviously 60+ and sunny isn't ideal, but with low humidity and a tailwind the weather won't be horrible.

good: cross wind and low dew points. also won't be freezing waiting for the start
bad: warm and full sun
IMO Monday will be a day to run a bit conservatively

I think what gets missed from last year is the fact that it was considerably warmer from Framingham through Newton and wasn't until Boston that it cooled back down thanks to the onshore breeze. According to my stats it was high 70s all the way through that section.
I don't think low to mid 60s with a slight helper is going to be terribly bad at all. Then again, I don't live in a winter climate either.

Looks like it's going to be decent weather for Marathon Monday. I'd prefer a little cooler and a lot less sun, but at least it's not supposed to be 70+.
I think if it remains totally sunny like the forecast, a lot of people (including me) may cook though and it will feel hotter than low 60s.
At this site you can put in your what wave you are in and your time and it will tell you what the weather is going to be at the start/midpoint/finish line at the time you are supposed to be there.
That weather tool is awesome. Yeah this race will feel warm for me. The last time I ran Boston was 2011; it wasn't even super warm but I still got a damn sunburn on one half of my body! LOL
Everyone is talking about 60 degree temps. That's a little warm but not awful. HOw come no one is walking about the huge tail wind?
