Got scared because Rupp will be there.
Got scared because Rupp will be there.
Now way Rupp can factor if Prague's foot trouble is legit.
We just received an email from John Hancock with updates on the 2017 Boston Marathon elite field. It said that Kenya's former world record holder Patrick Makau "has withdrawn from the race due to an acute injury of the soft tissue surrounding his left knee."
While Makau hasn't been in his 2:03:38 PB shape in a long time, he's ran decent the last few years with three consecutive 2:08 performances at the Fukuoka Marathon from 2014-2016 (twice for the win, once for 2nd).
US's Clara Santucci also pulled out with a hamstring injury.

Rupp will likely not be there. I would guess DNS unless there is a big improvement in foot.

Patrick was in very good training, with several impressive Long Runs and more than solid speed-work.
Unfortunately, he has experienced sharp pain around left knee, with soft tissue injury diagnosed and with rehab plan which followed. Injury requires time and time is what we don't have.
Patrick was truly disappointed after these developments, as racing well in Boston remains as one of the goals.
I feel sorry for any athlete who is forced out due to injury, but I try to see the silver lining when I can - barring a DNF, I just loved up a spot!

If you think the foot thing is for real, then you're a fool. It's just gamesmanship.

Everyone knows email wasn't around when John Hancock was alive. Maybe you got the email from Herbie Hancock.

See above for an example of a joke. Carry on.
