Don't even think about it. Skechers is the worst brand you could possibly choose. Meb is only in it for the money.
You are an idiot.

I have been searching for the perfect wide-toebox racing flat for abwhile now, too.
Topo ST2- meets all criteria listed in this thread, but slightly heavy for the amount of cushioning. Still a very comfy shoe
Altra Vanish- disappointing. Flimsy and not very un-Altra like in the fit
Nike Zoom Streak LT3- snug midfoot, surprisingly stretchy toebox. All around fantastic shoe, still doesn’t quite fit my criteria of WIDE toebox (upper great, but I feel like my forefoot spills off both sides on the forefoot-midsole
Newton Distance Elite- oldie but goodie, worth a try. If you can find them, they will be at a good price
Newton MV3- comparable to LT3, just a touch heavier w a touch less cushion.
Fwiw, I am currently racing in the Saucony Freedom with the insole removed. Fits nice and wide that way, and the TPU midsole seems to make up for the extra weight. This is a huge departure from my usual racing flat choice

I have the Saucony Freedoms too, and I love everything about the shoe EXCEPT the price. I've never considered racing in them though. I use my Freedoms on general easy days. I use my Kinvaras for tempos or faster runs. I use Hokas (i never thought I'd ever own a pair) for my long runs. My legs were getting too beat up during my long runs at the time but it worked out.
depending on what strength you've built up in your feet ankles and calves, soft star primal runamoc has been wonderful to wear.
I have wide feet and used to feel like no flats were wide enough but slowly began to prefer the tighter more locked down feel for faster running. They all stretch out after 30-50 miles to the point where most flats feel too wide now and I’m constantly having to sinch them down because I hate feeling like my foot is traveling around (at all) inside the shoe.
The streaks are meant to be tight around the arch and if you’ve only ever worn regular trainers, they’ll feel weird. The LT 4’s and regular streaks are wide in the toe box though for sure…..almost too much so.
