Go Meb 3 with the knit upper is an extremely comfortable, durable, and in my opinion better fitting alternative to a nike streak.

I would second the vote for the Adios Boosts. I have raced in them from th4 5k to the marathon and liked them a lot. There are probably better bargains out there, but those feel the best for my feet.
Won a free pair of Go Mebs 2s a while back. The only thing I use them for is as a shoe to where inside my house (with inserts) to support my plantar fascia. I could never imagine racing in them. Maybe the 3s are better.
I was also given a pair of Saucony Fastwitch flats by the club team that I run for. One morning, I was trying to leave the house for a race without waking my wife up and I accidentally grabbed on Fastwitch and one Adios. Fortunately they were not for the same foot. I raced a 10k with one of each shoe. Adidas foot felt markedly better after the race.

Subway Surfers Addiction wrote:Get some NB Zantes for tempos, fartlek and and other high speed running, recovery in them is so, so much quicker after them than regular flats. But for racing look at the Adidas adios boost, Zoom Streak 3, Saucony A9, NB rc5000, NB 1600. The Sketchers GoMeb 3 look promising too. Adidas have a shoe called the Feather which is a 10 mile to marathon racing shoe. The Takumi Sen also might be good but I have never tried them.
Do you have a source for NB rc5000? I can't find them anywhere; I think they've been discontinued.
It might be called the plain old 5000, just look up the 5000 v2. The lad in my local store runs in them and swears by them. I thought all NB racing flats had "rc" in their model number.
I think the Brooks Hyperion are a great all-rounder.
Light enough at about 7ozs for 5k-10k, but seem to have enough about them for longer distances.
I have them on a 22M long run no issues and will do the same with some tempo work included in a few weeks, all going well I'll wear them in a spring marathon.

I've searched, and sadly I think NB gave up on them. They were a mere 4.5 oz but still had some cushion.
Ascics Hyperspeed 7 are the closest I've found, but weigh 6.2 oz. Still awesome even up to a full marathon.
I have a pair of Fastwitch that I really like. Barely enough shoe for 1/2M for me, don't train in them except for a couple really race-specific runs right before a planned race. I'm older than most here and feet (and joints, tendons, etc) are more fragile than when I was 15. For most of you, probably plenty enough for a half or even full.
I think that you've already chosen very nice brands for your trainings! :) I adore Brooks too, also Nike models like here

, they're one of the most comfortable! :) Even in case of my flat feet I can train in them in a comfortable way and I don't feel pain in the legs after that :)
Some Adidas models are good too :)
Everyone's foot is different you need to try on first. Adidas are good though but try first!

Now that I've got racing flats, I think Im going to buy some spikes. They will get used on nikes track and therefore they MUST be Nike. They will mainly get used on workouts but I may enter a XC race here and there
