get yourself some orthotics. Powersteps are a good brand. Stretch your calves too.
Do not ever alter your natural stride to accomodate an injury. I know from experience. Two years ago I had an awful case of plantar fasciitis in my right heel and started to land more on my toes on the right foot. About a week later I noticed a pain in my foot that got stronger and stronger every day until I couldn't run anymore... stress fracture in the third metatarsal.
