It's funny how a team and go 36-1 and basically be an under dog in every big game.

What games have they been the underdogs in?
Louisville looks unstoppable, and Illinois "should" have lost their last game, only reason they are here is because Arizona made absolute fools of themselves for four minutes last Saturday.
you mean Lute Olson gave that game to the Illini.

But of course the Illini had nothing at all to do with the 20-5 run in the last 4 minutes.
no, i'd definitely attribute it to an Arizona meltdown and Lute choke job and not a magnificent turnaround like Louisville did against West Virginia.

Go pull the johnson out of your rear.
Not saying Illinois is a bad team. They're pretty good, but remember St. Joe's last year? They blew. Over-rated.

Sure, arizona got tight, but it's not like they just dribbled the ball out of bounds 8 times in a row. Illinois' D was in an entirely different gear that last 4 minutes. How many steals did they get in that period of time? Four?
Louisville can't be beat...as long as they keep hitting 3s and Cisco stays out of foul trouble. They survived with Cisco on the bench against West Virginia. They won because West Virginia finally went cold in overtime after shooting 70% most of the game. One of UofL's players said "It's like their behinds tightened up". The problem is that niether the Illini nor the Spartans nor the Heels will tighten up. The Illini can be beat inside and I'm sure that's where Slick Rick will go.

To say Louisville can't be beat is a day late and a dollar short...the last I checked they had a number 4 in the L-column. And just to remind you...this is college basketball where the parity is so deep you'd drown. Also...everyone's unbeatable when they're hitting three's and staying out of foul trouble.
As for all those saying Illinois is only in the Final Four because AZ made a fool of themselves is simply foolish. Ask any of the other Illini victims along the path of their 36 wins season "how they got here". I've give a few hints for you...Poise, Execution, and Team work. Those three reasons in themselves make for a pretty successful season.
Also...the last I checked Lute Olson was on the bench. I suppose it's his fault that Arizona can't handle the basketball?
And that 20-5 run in the final few minutes...Illinois has been doing the same thing all year long. Maybe not to the extent as what they did against AZ, but they done the same thing in numerous games this year. When they step up the intesity of their defense it's scary how much trouble teams have handling the ball...there isn't a quicker team in college basketball...especially defensively.

Yeah, Louisville really ran away with that West Virginia game.
