2 minutes for 800m
Most people could not do that with a gun held to their head for a year.
Average is about 15 secs for 100m so even with training 2 flat is impossible
As for 15:30,10k - 31:00 errrrr dad I did it wrong again!
1:53 for 800m
3:56 for 1500m
15:30 for 5000m
Given a year of complete focus this is easily obtained as I was
1:56
4:12
and
16:30
Always injured in my D3 collegiate career, so I never put together a full year of training (Any mileage over 50 and I'd break down into a pathetic puddle of nothingness).
These were my best times my last season where I made it through indoor and outdoor without getting hurt. (Didn't run in the off-season as was injured in the CC season).
400 - 49.5
800 - 1:54.9
1500 - 4:02.1
(Didn't run anything longer than the 1500)
Projected times if my body could actually handle consistent training. Hmm? I could only wish these.
400 - 48
800 - 1:50
1500 - 3:55
Why do the fastest runners get the most injuries? From anecdotal evidence most 18min 5k guys handle my schools program well, but then the 15-16min guys always get injured...Especially the speedier guys who can whip a fast 400, they get injured easy doing distance programs.

You would be as fast as your genetics allow you to be when starting from scratch at those ages..
That would vary from world class to barely able to actually run.
This times 5 million.
So I was 17:10 in HS running 25 mpw, started running year round in junior yr. Little quickness with 800 of 2:11 but that 1710 was done on 25 mpw.
Ran in middle school through HS but only for 7months a year usually.
Stopped running after HS seriously but messed around and did 16:45 later on. Now I'm 30. How fast could I get in 1.5 yrs? I've been doing 20 mpw the last few yrs, 5'9" and 137 pounds. I want to put on 20 pounds of muscle to look good after giving serious running a try.
Realistic goals? (Track times)
4:40 for mile
1559 for 5k
33 for 10k

Because they are going faster. That's harder on the muscles etc.

Yeah well 18 minutes is jogging. It's kind of hard to get injured jogging that slow.
When are you going to start training?
Emma Coburn to miss Olympic Trials after breaking ankle in Suzhou
Jakob on Oly 1500- “Walk in the park if I don’t get injured or sick”
VALBY has graduated (w/ honors) from Florida, will she go to grad school??
Congrats to Kyle Merber - Merber has left Citius for position w/ Michael Johnson's track league
