The 9/11 truthers thread was a good one.

The other thread is the flat earth argument. It started out as a joke but one poster called Legit question, actually forced the global earth side to fight to defend their arguments and in the process got a couple posters to defend the flat earth side as well.

Disappointed at NYC Marathon--Should I go back-to-back? That one is pretty amazing. Not at all what you would expect.
The Mike Rossi thread was impressive for a while, then just turned into pages of name calling.

"Hearty Stock"
Anyone 'member the satire of alan webbs training? Filled with lots of mcdonalds references and whatnot but I can't find it!
Can't believe nobody has mentioned this classic so far:

"I once ran the last 400m of a 1500m on pure rage.
I raged so hard through the finish line that my eyeballs burst out of my skull, followed by gushing streams of blood. Then I ripped off my nipples and threw them into the crowd.
The entire crowd synchronize-vomited in awe of the power of my rage. Alan Webb later gave me his last hair in recognition of the magnitude of my white-hot fury."
Good stuff. Read it.

Reading the thread where the guy chronicled his running and training while battling and ultimately succumbing to cancer should be required reading, especially this time of the year. Plenty to be thankful for in this time of such division and negativity.
Any links to this?? Would love to read it.

Updates from the OP after the weekend?
Did your wife walk in on you browsing LetsRun? Do you think you'll ever recover from the embarrassment?

One of my more proud contributions in my history at LRC was ghost writing quite a few posts on that thread. Some of the other authors had some gems in there, though sadly as the thread progressed there were less than stellar posters that hopped in.
