hey dude, i know i'm probably not the best to give advice or anything, but as a fellow freshman here's my two cents because i was in sorta the same situation (just wanted to drop in because i saw you on the few threads i've looked at):
stop worrying so much about things, it's high school m8... times will come, but it's not gonna be as fun you're obsessed and worrying about the little details of things... i was sort of like this in 8th grade but i learned my lesson quickly, all of your friends will think you're obsessed and yeah.... not trying to sound mean but just chill, and then maybe you'll get your national title (if i don't beat you over the line ;-|)
when u look back u will probably regret wasting so much time on lr and not getting out there, basically just chill and let things play out. you probably wanna become a legend at your school and impress all of your friends with your comeback story, but here's something i found interesting:

he probably didn't waste his days on lr
high school is gonna be lit, stop worrying about weight and time and do something to be remembered
and all ya haters out there i'm not a hypocrite, i'm only on here & rw like 10 mins/day when i'm bored... the rest i'm chillin' and preparing to go sub 4:40
