Looking for something I can run some decent mileage in, but is faster with some cushion. I used the Boston Boosts and currently the Saucony Kinvaras for this purpose, and I like both but I also would like to expand my horizons.
Preferably something ~8 ounces, give or take one ounce.
Medium heel drop preferred ~4-6mm
Something that just feels pretty fast, but wont destroy my legs if I do a long run in them.
Just looking for suggestions. I was thinking about trying New Balance Fresh FOam Zante v2's if I can find them for cheap.
Any other suggestions?
I'm much different than most people in terms of running shoe preference but I really like the New Balance Vazee rush. I wear them for any training I do that's faster than easy pace, with the exception of my long runs which usually progress down to tempo pace or below. However, I would still be comfortable doing a long run in them, I just prefer my NB 1260's. The Vazee's are fairly responsive and cushiony at the same time, a good mix of both. Go to joesnewbalanceoutlet.com to buy them, they are very cheap, so even if you don't like them $40 isn't a lot of money.
