Let us know when you make it to the Olympics with slower than 180 cadence
didnt read the whole thread but as someone that moniters cadence (i dont force it) when I am in good race shape and training well my cadence is 177-180. rarely over 180.
this means that as I become more efficient during long runs and speed work. Once comppnent is a higher step count.
I have heard stories from Jack Daniels himself about how he sits at professional races and counts steps from the 800 to the marathon and the average across the board for winners is about 180.
I think I will go with that.

What happened was some dude counted stride rate of NY marathon finishers. Running at 5 minute miles. The average of a dozen or so runners was 180. Whilst running the equivalent of your spring. Optimum is natural. Turd head.
