Agreed. I'm always rooting for Jenny over Shannon, but the anti-Shannon bias on these boards is so blatant. Shannon actually seems like a really cool person, it's her coach that's so off-putting. But with the exception of the near-miss in Rio, it's hard for even the most fervent Shannon haters to ignore how well she's been running this year.
That said, I'd love to see Jenny take a serious crack at the 5,000 AR. Her PR is only 14:56 but she's beaten up on Senbere Teferi in the past, who beat Shannon by 10 seconds here. It would be cool if Molly tried to get it back too, before she moves up for good. The women's 5,000m AR seems to slightly lag behind the other distance events, so hopefully Shannon's run today inspires some of her competition to lower it in the future.
