Kiprop moved up well the final 100m but started too far back and could not win today. He did win the Diamond League title.
Here's what he said afterwards, "I wanted to win this race, so I´m not fully satisfied. I had a technical problem with my shorts, they prevented me from sprinting decently. Eventually I´m happy to win the Diamond League of course."
Did anyone notice anything with his shorts?
His agent was busted with EPO early summer and Kiprop has run like crap every race since then, with one lame excuse after another. Connect the dots people.
Well, you can see from the footage that he indeed did have some problems with his shorts in the homestretch. He was touching them, it looked weird
The drawstring came undone, which is a problem when you have a 25-inch waist.

I had a problem with my swim shorts in a triathlon, they kept falling off. No drawstring that the skinny guys need. It's amazing a pro athlete would not get proper fitting shorts though. Kiprop doesn't take things seriously enough sometimes.
He maybe got a wedgie.
Never freeball guys, even with shorts with a liner. A nice pair of snug briefs could have saved his race.

Since you are new to the sport, go read about something called the Berlin Marathon on a meet called the Olympic Games. Lots of crumbling Nike products there.
