California is the worst place to be a 49.xx 400 runner, or a 1:56 800 runner. Kiss your chances at state goodbye.
You'd be double state champ in my podunk small classification in Nebraska. Maybe even 1600 champ if you can run 4:25.

Definitely Boston.

But, there are six times as many whites as blacks. So, approximately 24 of 25 crimes involving inter-racial violence are of the black on white variety.
Even Jess J. admitted to crossing the street under certain circumstances.
That pales in comparison to the number of white crimes against non-whites during WW2. So if anything Blacks should fear whites.
Please ask someone you trust to explain the above stats to you.
Please read some history about Allied troops liberating Europe, Asia(including China) and the middle east - the Arab/muslim nations supported the nazis due to their mutual racism against jews and dissenting Christians.

Not sure what you are talking about but are you denying there were white crimes against non-whites during WW2 and the number of non-white victims from that time pales in comparison to number of Black on white crime victims you posted? What other non-criminal whites did during WW2 is irrelevant to me just as majority of almost 40 million Blacks in America who are not a factor in the statistics you posted were irrelevant to you.
Alaska, Montana, california
50 degrees in summer mornings, mountains make it hard to run. Altitude makes you slower. Terrible for distance runners

The discussion is about running in American locations with some claiming that black runners get a raw deal on the roads. Well, perhaps sometimes, but the present stats address the issue of who might be a target on the roads, especially in big cities.
You are incoherently trying to paint the American liberators from 70 years ago as a reason for fear today. That would be as tortured and off-subject as declaring that the Tuskegee airmen were fighting to preserve Jim Crow.
I can assure you that none of Patton's, Montgomery's or Bradley's battalions will molest you on any of your future runs.
I have encountered hicks, gang bangers and your garden variety psychos with bad intentions over the years.
I have no concerns about the folks, almost all of whom are dead, who liberated concentration camps, gulags, entire continents under dictatorship and set Africa on a path out of colonial domination.

Oh, please. Bowerman stole it from the Aussies..(Lydiard) and then that a doctor from Texas wrote a bestselling book on fitness.
You think Lydiard was an Aussie?
Everywhere is terrible except Utah and Colorado.
I worked in Boston for a fall and thought it was a pretty awesome place to run. I stayed and worked in Government Center and ran along the river, over the bridge to Cambridge, all around town... I really liked running there.
Who gives a rip what the locals, in Boston or Alabama or whatever, think of runners? Why is that a factor? If you have a nice physical environment for running, who cares what the people think when they see you?
Do try to keep up will you? I never said Black runners were victims of crimes (although it's likely some have been at some point in time), my point is as a Black man running especially in the dark, people including cops look at you as up to no good. So why do people automatically view running Black men as up to no good? Is your explanation of this because of high Black on white crime rates? If so then that explanation makes no sense since the numbers of Black on white crimes pales in comparison to the number of white on non-white crimes just in the span of 6 years of WW2. Rationally, just from looking at crimes by race, whites should be more feared than Blacks. But the opposite is happening.

It's a tie between Louisiana and most of Florida.
Pensacola FL used to have a really nice running community.

What the hell? Close enough. It was somewhere down there. He died in Texas, which makes him a Texan.

The answer to these threads is always Gary, Indiana.
