Rowbury over Simpson in Paris

In this race, Jenny did hold back. She ran pretty good time anyway, but was not sharp at the end. In past races I have seen Simpson push the pace, I hope we see it again this season.

Age? Well at the starting line the announcer mentioned that both Rowbury and Simpson were "north of thirty". I thought that was funny.

Rowbury is quite hot, where can I find a poster of her for my wall?

It is quite a rivalry, and Jenny does not like losing to Shannon, ever.

Rowbury has better times at a wide range of distances.

Simpson is more of a one trick pony (pun intended) as she mostly sticks to the mile.

Both have done well for themselves as a result but the head to head results are a bit misleading as Simpson concentrates more on the distance that they most often square off in.

Not sure why Simpson stopped doing the Steeplechase. She has the look of a classic steepler:

I am loving all the Rowburry fan boys coming up with insane reasons for why SR is better than JS. JS has beat SR like a step child over the years.

Think about this: Simpson beats Roburry, no one bats an eye and not a single thread is created that touts JS over SR. Roburry beats Simpson, SR fanboys lose their minds and start a thread talking about range and some other participation trophy nonsense. Roburry beat Simpson during her Olympic medal hangover. This rivalry is not that close.

Shannon only got a roll-down medal in the Worlds. She never crossed the line in Worlds/Olympics in the top three. Jenny has done this three times.

Shannon is no longer likable because of her tactics and I am not going into how ridiculous her appearance is.

SR is Duke educated. She's into art and she dresses cool. Running aside I'd way rather have dinner/be friends with her over JS. Again, people who are drawn to JS are generally simple minded people who think they're down to earth and "real" when in reality they're just painfully dull.

I like the way Jenny races better, so I guess if I had to be team Jenny or team Shannon, I'd choose Jenny.

Regardless, it's awesome that these two women have a real, heated rivalry-not only are we fans invested in it, but I'm pretty sure the two of them actually hate each other's guts, too. Which is kind of awesome-that's the kind of drama that makes sports compelling.
