just so clutch! huge props to her for doing her best when it really counts.
I am surprised to find out 20.63 is an AR. We're that far behind?
The thing is, she's a star.
I've been following her on Facebook and Twitter for a year or more. She's as charming as can be. I honestly thought she'd be one of the stars that NBC would focus on. I've been very surprised that they did so little on her. The very short and very late piece on her win was good, but they missed a chance to showcase a star.

The ball was probably light. That and she's doping.
My balls are an ounce or two lighter after watching that throw-- HOT!!
Much more impressive than Ledecky's chlorine poisoned monster clit.
I wish I could give you 10 thumbs up for that answer. Watchin on-line stinks compared to the broadcast big screen version of the event.
Women's 1500 heats, still no on YouTube. the London 2012 hears are available.
We Americans do take our Track and Field events very seriously.
Go USA!

And you can thank NBC for not showing it and, as of 11pm est, not even mentioning it. There were important heats of the W100 and non-medal swimming races to show.
CBC showed it live
Let me be clear. I watched it live online and not complaining that I missed it. What I am complaining about is that NBC completely dropped the ball here and basically ignored what was an amazing story and gold. If you want to grow the sport, events like this need to be on prime time. It's not like it snuck up on NBC am caught them by surprise. She qualified in the morning, was a medal favorite and NBC had all day to line up its talking points. Her father makes the story that much more relatable to the masses. It should be noted that they are the first father-daughter medalists in the same event in US history.

Where are the doping accusers?
Sorry I just realized the winner is American so she is clean.

New Zealand is a former Eastern Bloc nation?
Who knew?
excuse me I should have said "except for Adams and a handful of others" and even she is over a meter behind. It's a little hard to overlook the dominance: http://www.alltime-athletics.com/wshotok.htm
What an epic way to win Olympic gold. I am extremely happy for her and her post-event interview was awesome. Really cool stuff. I do wish they had built it up more on NBC, but hey, at least they showed it and gave her some time.
An awesome day for her!!!
She did a cowardly sit-and-kick on Adams, who had the guts to put herself out there. Well, technically speaking, Carter has more guts, and Saunders even more, but you know what I mean...
