If you're selling 4 million records you're making money. You've made it big. Any BIG act is making money off their royalties.

I guess I couldn't get how he could be worth more than Dylan in my original post. Dylan has zillions of songs that have been in rotation for up to 50 years, others cover him like crazy, he is on a never ending tour.

I saw GNR as having about 4-5 good songs, which might be true, and only being relevant for a few years. But, I looked at the Spotify play counts for GNR and Dylan and GNR dwarfs him. So, I guess it all makes sense.

I'll take solace in the fact that 100 years from now Dylan's songs will still be playing and GNR will have been completely forgotten :)

I saw Dylan once, in Cork City music tent where he was prepping for a Euro tour and he was awful. Plus I couldn't tell which one was him since all of his band had broad brimmed black hats and were all in black k, till someone told me its the little guy with the pencil thin mustache tryna look like Zorro.

Paid for a concert, got a rehersal.
