You don't think that's spreading hate? Or the numerous right wing pastors advocated support for the shooting. That's what you call "help defend them"?
FWIW, hate kills LGBT every day ... I posted in another thread on suicide rates for LGBT youths ... these kids aren't killing themselves because they feel your love.
Or hate crime rates in this country .. the single most prevalent hate crime target today is LGBT people.
So yes, this hate DOES cause harm, and it does kill people.
Someone holding a banner up at a Pride parade, regardless how much you'd like it to be, is not persecuting you.
