That doesn't change the facts brother.
We dropped Mo Farah.
the key word here is 'drop'!
it doesn't happen quite often.
....but we did it.
I am still elated brother. I am in great mood........
I would have been far, far more surprised to see Farah beat Kamworor and Karoki at their own game. As Cram said at the beginning of the race, if Farah beat everyone there today in a hard and fast half marathon that they have been preparing well for then they might as well not turn up in Rio. He is a track athlete, these guys specialise at running road, at a distance 4 times as far as Farah's best distance.
I'm surprised anyone here thought Farah had a shot at winning. Kamworor said effectively he will take it out hard before the race, and anyone who knows about athletics would tell you that Kamworor could have run a LOT faster than Farah managed when he ran 59:32 in pretty good conditions.
I'm sure Geoffrey will move up and have a strong career in the Marathon in future, what we saw today was one of the best half marathon performances ever.
All this means today is that Farah may want to reconsider doing the double in Rio. If Kjelcha and Kamworor both make hard races for Farah then he will struggle to win both.
