She opened this weekend with a 4:49 win against Columbia and Dartmouth in NH.
She makes the finals indoors this year in any event she runs in. Down the road she breaks all of Yales distance records held by the twins. With any kind of luck she represents the USA on our Olympic team in the future.
Lindsey,
Out of curiousity, how did you make your college selection ? And would you be willing to tell us what other schools you considered ?
Thanks!
Do you really think that Lindsey started this thread? Who am I under the name SNATCH??? My God.

Why do you write "although?" It makes no sense in that sentence.
Because "although" she was a Mass state champ no one expected her to run as well as she has thus far. The “although” does make sense, but even if it didn't, why care? These forums are for content, not to be graded like in English class.
Lindsay did very little training (mileage) when she was running at Lincoln Sudbury in Massachusetts as a high schooler. I would guess she probaly maxed out at 20-30 miles a week at the most. What she accomplished in highschool was done mostly thru talent alone. She did have a coach that has the ability to motivate his kids which in todays environment is rare. Lindsay is naturally blessed with a excellent aerobic system that will only get better as her training at Yale continues. Keep an eye on her progress and I think alot of people will take notice of her in the future.
Curious,
Why do you think she chose Yale ?
Academic/athletic package ? Location ? Alumni support ?
There was an article in New England Runner about her in the latest issue. It talked about why she chose Yale, she liked the girls on the team because they were well rounded and not just about running. Academics are also hard to top. She only ran one year of HS cross and made Foot Locker. Should be fun to watch for the next 4 years. Don't forget about Cara Kiernan, very similar backgound and All American in cross this year as well
