How cheap are you?

I try to pickup one recyclable can or plastic bottle every run. Ever hear the expression "if I had a nickle for every time I ...."? Well, I have (almost) a nickel for every time I've run for the past 15 years.

I wasn't suggesting there was anything wrong with wearing band aids, but wearing band aids on your nipples at all times, even when you aren't running? Yeah, guess what champ - that isn't a fitness "need" any more than wearing your running shoes to bed would be.

I'm so cheap I don't turn on the heat in my apartment, not even the circuit breaker for it. Right now it is at about 45 F.

Hey, thejeff, I've used the medicated chapstick on my nipples before and it works great. It's cheap and you don't have to worry about it falling off.

I just use athletic tape.

I'm so cheap that I didn't own a cell phone (or any phone) until last Saturday. My mom sent me her old one. I'm in my 30's.

I did that one winter. It sucked, but I'd be sitting in class (I was in school at the time) and it would be like 68 degrees and people would be complaining about it being cold, and I'd be fine. Good times.

For a while I used a headlamp in my apartment instead of turning on any lights.

Also, used to study at panera and wait until they closed to take home all the baked goods they they would throw away as spoilage.

If I only need to use 1 end of a cotton bud, I'll keep it until I need to use the other clean end.

Also if Im waiting for hot water from a tap, until it comes through I'll keep the initial cold water (in a bucket) then use it to flush toilets.

I like that one...my family in CA has been using that water to water their drought-stricken yard.

I start a thread about being cheap and using band aids, and you read "bad sex". Buddy, I hate to break it to you, but you have some real issues. I wish you all the best :-)

Until you ditch the oil dependent automobile you can't really claim frugality.
