Don't over think it...
- put your Garmin with heart rate monitor on the kid
- have the kid do 3 sedintary activities (i.e., watching tv, texting, homework)
- have kid do 3 physical activities (i.e., run, bike, push ups)
- take photos during all activities
-print out the visual of the heart rates
-write something clever about the benefits of exercise
-put all the info and photos on poster boards
-thank me
If you want to help, why don't you ask HER what ideas she has and then buy some materials for her after helping her go to the library to research the subject herself? I've already seen how parents at my daughter's school already did virtually all of their children's 2nd GRADE science projects! They didn't even let their children fill out the data or write on the charts. Parents should be in the business of encouraging their children to learn and be creative, not to do their work for them. What long term end does this solve?
