Results would be nice wrote:
I would not consider lack of results as a little thing.
I'll put this as politely as I can.
Hmmmmm.
Go f*** yourself, you whining slow-ass douche bag.
Oh, and don't ever, ever, come to a meet at our track again.

You've got to be kidding me. People aren't happy b/c the results aren't posted 3 days later and this is what you have to say? You should grow up, if you do indeed actually run for BU.
Maybe I'm not as fast as you, but at least I don't have your personality problem.
If I hadn't seen my time before I left I certainly would be pretty pissed now. And before anyone tells me to time myself, I ran the 200, so that's pretty much impossible. The only reason to run at the meets, for me, is to get an accurate time, particularly so that I have a recent seed time for the other meets coming up. I love the opportunity to run period and the only thing that I want out of a meet is my time. Nothing else.
Ok so this meet was pretty f***ed up. But you know what all in all these Mini-meets are absolutely fantastic.
And I'm saying this as someone who went to move my car after they announced there would be another 30 minutes to the 3k start, so I wouldn't get ticketed. When I got back, my heat was going off. So I had to run in a slower heat.
And ya know what, they're still great meets. Shit happens. Plus you only pay 10 bucks. Thats cheaper than any road race out there, and you get to run in first class facility. I would like to know what my 3k time was from this meet. But I guess I will just have to be patient.
Seriously, if people keep bitching like this, they won't run meets like these. This meet was screwed up, but its not like none of us have ever been to meet that wasn't messed up and a few hours late.
Anyone have the results from the BU meet this weekend, or know if they're posted anywhere? Thanks!
They are not on BU's website or Coolrunning.
Anyone know when they will be up???
You could e-mail Bruce Lehane at lehane@bu.edu and ask about results.
im pretty sure the meet this weekend was just an open mini-meet. the real All Comers meets in the 15th.
Yeah we know about next weeks meet. We want the results to this last weekends meet.
anyone???
someone in the 200 had a seizure on the line & the official dragged the person off and then started the race.
Bueller?? Anyone?? Bueller??
Bruce Lehane, who normally runs the meet (w/ his wife, I think), was out of town training and racing in LA. Once he gets back this week, he'll post the results.
So thats why the meet was so disorganized and started almost an hour late.
The B team was running the show and it showed. I'd be surprised if they ever get the results up. Maybe we can get part of our money back. Let's see, the meet cost me: $10 entry, $25 parking ticket, a wasted afternoon, a pissed off wife, a near accident driving home in the ice storm, no results and I only got to run one event because of the rampant incompetence. Other than that, it was great.
I am right there with you. Same thing $10 entry, parking ticket. Pissed off wife and a long slow ride home. At least we could have some results. No results = me getting my entry fee back. I hope results get posted.

The meet cost you $10. Your own bad judgement cost you the parking ticket. If you are unhappy with the mini-meets, feel free to not come back. You won't be missed.
All I am asking for in return for my entry fee is some results. To bad about the parking tickets and pissed off wifes. Those are your problems. But to run a meet poorly and then not even have results three days later is just bad form. I have been to many other BU open/mini meets and they have been great. This last weekends meet was a disaster. It was disorganized, started an hour late, and there are still no results. I hope this was a one time screw up.
I'm sorry if you parked illegally and got nailed for it, and that you somehow managed to waste an afternoon and piss your wife off.
I love these meets. I think it is great that old slow people like me can go and run on a wonderful indoor track in a great facility - for as little as $5 a race. Sure it is nice to get FAT times, but as far as I am concerned that is a total bonus. I used my watch and wouldn't have cared if they never posted the times - my hand times were quicker.
Honestly, if your times are really that crucial, then you should probably be running a whole different class of meets. These mini-meets are fun - this is as close to a game of pickup football with your buddies as our sport is going to get.
Lighten up a little. Park smart. Bring your wife (and kids if you have any)to the meet and let them run too.
All the best,
Giles.
