I ran a 14:45 5k after vaping before, in the early afternoon. I vape multiple times every day, while running 100+ mpw. Life is good.
I ran 4:36 and baked just about everyday
IN HS I ran 4:30/9:35 and In college I ran 4:32/9:40(indoors) and 15:07 for the 3mile while smoking twice a week and drinking heavily. Stupid. Was told by a NCAA Div 1 Champion it didnt matter how much you partied, just as long as you got up in the morning and ran. Well didnt work for me.
That's only against the rules if you put money on an account such as fan duel or draft kings
I use to smoke weed all the time my senior year in high school, it was my second year track season ever and ran 4:42, blazin that shit up everyday. If you do smoke, what will affect you the most is if you smoke blunts. The blunt wraps can affect you, especially if you are a huge stoner and smoke atleast a couple of blunts a day. But, I could never run while I was high, I would always go out to fast, not knowing pace and die out about 2 miles in lol
when did you run that marathon and when did you quit smoking? have you stayed off the weed for long?
I myself was a sub 14 5k guy in college (10 years ago). started smoking weed 3 years ago to what I thought counterbalance stress at work. Also stilkept runningl and at first it was great, I could pump out these 10 milers at sub 6 pace feeling like flying. but over the years smoking took over, running became less. tried to quit this year but wasn't so easy. now I haven't touched that shite for a couple of weeks, also reduced smoking cigarettes. just finished my Christmas 7 miler at a decent pace. hoping to run a half marathon in 6months by end of march.

I don't smoke weed or run that much anymore but when I graduated college 5 years ago I used to smoke 4 or 5 times a week and ran a 3:51 1500 for a small d1 program. There were a few guys on our team who smoked although not as much as me and we had one complete stoner who smoked everyday and could easily run sub 3:55 1500 any day of the week, but he was mostly a 5k/10k guy. I really don't think weed makes that much of a difference unless you smoke so much that it affects your mileage and workouts.
I was hitting a pen and ran a mile for a race cause I ran track at the time an I ran the mile in 4:50

I'm sure I'll be attacked for this post but this seems cut and dry. I'm not arguing that pot is good or bad, performance enhancing or not, just that it is a banned substance.

I've smoked or vaped nearly every day for a while. Last season I ran 1:53 for 800, on 4/20 nonetheless. Vaped weed on my cooldown. Ran a 4:16 road mile a few weeks later. Nearly every workout was done while high, however, I didn't like racing on the track high. Also was taking LSD every few weeks, sometimes doing my long runs while kinda tripping. Even ran a 77 minute half on LSD.
I've been smoking weed for a few years now and always loved training high jajaja. Sometimes way too high and it was tough but it was the easy, moderate, and long-run that I enjoy doing the most when high. I've done workouts high too but my heart rate is much higher than what it is used to so I avoid smoking 1-2 hours before warming up.
Last track season I ran a second off my 800m totally sober then I was doubling in the 1500m later that night. I smoked a good bowl like 2 hours before warming up and I was so excited to run because it was basically my home meet. I ran a 4:18 1500m PB so that translates over to sub 5.
Stay away from blunts, joints are okay but not too much because it will affect you eventually. Stick to pipes or even vapes. I like smoking my weed pen and it gives me this body high that makes running feel so nice.

I first ran sub-5 when I was 16. I looked up the age-grade equivalent for my current age and it is sub-6:00, which I have done. Stopped smoking and eating weed a week ago. I have no idea where this is all going.
I ran at a prominent D1 school in college. On our team about 50% of the team smoked at least once during the season. There were about 4-5 distance runners that smoked regularly nearly every year I was on the team, including myself. Out of the regular smokers, we had guys as fast as 1:51 800, 3:43 1500, sub 13:47 5k . These were all times run during seasons when we were smoking regularly.
We would usually run in the morning and then smoke in afternoon or night. Summer was pretty much a blaze sesh all day every day. Getting the main run done in the morning, start smoking and then do a double a bit blazed. 60-85 mpw depending on the runner. Weight sessions would be done high on occasion, but there was some paranoia being around the coaches.
It is very possible to run fast while smoking, but I do think it can start to hurt performance when you do it all day and for months on end without a break,
I love cannabis.
Nothing like finding the right strain that works for you.
Nothing better then a good buzz while working out.
I don't smoke weed, but vape some with a special dry herb vaporizer (Yocan Hit, https://gypsyvapes.com/yocan-hit-vaporizer ) and I have to say I never do that before running. Cannabidiol is a very strong relaxer, it is perfect to be smoked/vaped AFTER running, it relieves pains in muscles and bones greatly.

I don't trust pens, mostly because I am in an illegal state. Even if I were in a legal state, I don't think they are super well regulated. Don't know what you are putting in your body.
