I just finished my XC season after my state meet on Sunday. My season started in mid-August and now I want to prepare for winter track. How many days can I take off running without losing any of my running fitness?

I would say take off 7 days if you are okay losing some fitness and hitting the reset button to build base for indoor track. 3 days if you want to only lose a little fitness and then jump right back on it. 1 day if you want to lose no fitness but risk being a little burnt out at the end of indoor heading into outdoor.
