Since biking, swimming, and gym machining are all no-impact exercises that have little benefit for runners, could race walking potentially be a better way to go?
I remember reading in the Lore of Running a while back about old school training programs that utilized speed walking a lot. It looks ridiculous obviously, but could there be some benefit here? Maybe as a way to tack on an extra 10 miles a week?
