Yep, same here.
Are they running a mile or 1600m for the women? Look at the video. They started on the finish line. Either the track is a 440 yd track or they aren't running a mile.
It's a 440 yard track. Please post splits and results for those of use without flopro!
Thanks! I was hoping they weren't running 1600m by mistake. They've said that Fiona's 4:25.79 win is the world lead, but Rowbury ran 4:22.66 indoors for the indoor world lead. Shouldn't that count for the overall world lead?
As I recall, it's a 440 track.
Dbang won handily. Expected right?
Grunewald got smoked. Unexpected?
Benson's time is 38th on the all time list. She bumps Jenny Simpson, who ran 4:25.91 back in 2009, to 39th.
It's nice to see Benson continuing to do well.

Depends on what you expect from Benson. I'm pretty sure a lot of people expected her to win. She's done pretty well in Portland already this summer. She beat Rowbury there in June at the Portland Track Festival.
Wasn't the 400m being billed as Eaton vs Symmonds?

Look out for Benson at Worlds. While others have been racing these past few weeks, she's been lying low and prepping. Stay tuned.

Glad to see Ginnie Crawford with continued employment. As long as Ashton is a big Nike draw Brianne Theisen-Eaton gets a lane (and in this case an event) as part of the appearance package.
Who was "Kieran Lee" that paced the 1st 400m of the men's 800m? LOL.

Did they get a large turnout?
Saw nice posts on twitter about it the set-up.
I can't speak for the video feed because I was there in person. There were some little things that they could have improved, but overall it was a lot of fun. I wish more track meets would be like it. There was a decent crowd and the best part was that instead of having fans sit in the stands, everyone was on the infield. This is how I prefer watching meets already, but usually I have a media credential to let me access the area. I've always thought it would be a better fan experience to let people watch from the infield. You could move around and cheer from different parts, plus interact with your friends and athletes more easily than from in the stands. They had a DJ and a beer garden too, which filled any lull in action.
