As best I understand:
1.Abdominal Cramps tend to be most associated with diet and water/salt solution imbalances (due to messed up water flow in intestines)
2. Muscle Cramps can have a electrolyte component but are most often associated with overuse-injury which causes the neuromuscular junction dysfunction resulting in a cramp or knots (due to constant "firing"/spasms). An example is "knots" which tend to occur in weight-bearing muscles like the calves and quads:
you have a weak core.
