It does make you wonder.
Centro seems like a one-trick pony. Either running great or performing terribly. If he can't run at a smooth pace, he's cooked. Souleiman knew this and stuck right on the rabbits at ~54 first lap, with Centro on his shoulder. This put crap in Centro's legs and he couldn't recover for the last lap. And in typical Centro fashion, once he realized he couldn't place high, he more or less gave up...

He does give up if he isn't going to make the podium. That shows a bit of arrogance when you think about it. He can do poorly without admitting to himself he ran as hard as he could.
That said, he shouldn't be counted out at the WC's. In '13 Centro ran like crap before the WC's and then stepped it up to take the silver.
