Yes, as usual, this conversation has turned into something else. The frustration for the OP (and myself) is that people don't plan ahead. Sure you can get pregnant "unexpectedly," but that doesn't happen when you get a dog. A dog is a commitment, not a toy to throw away when it becomes inconvenient. Sure, there are circumstances where you may not be able to care for it, which is why you plan ahead for those things. For example, having someone you know personally care for the dog.
