hey everyone, im just making this because i want some opinions and maybe some helpful information about my goals for my upcoming XC season. This is only my second year of running and im going into my senior year. Last XC season, (my first year running), i ran a 19:32 for my PR. looking back, i know i didnt train or care as much as I do now, resulting in me not having a very good time. Going into my track season as a Jr, (this previous spring), i was a lot more dedicated and focused on being on my varsity team. I ran a 2:12 800m, a 4:50 1600, and a 11:01 3200 (I only ran the 3200 twice). After a great track season, I started looking into collegiate running and that is my goal for my last year of running. I'm hoping to break 17:00 in my 5k this season, which seems very ambitious, but I think I can do it with the right training and knowledge. My track goals are crazy ambitious, but ill do everything i can to achieve them. a 2:05 800m, a 4:30 1600m, and a 10:00 3200m. Basically I want to know if maybe im too ambitious, possible pointers towards some other goals. oh and while i am at it, I am going to Puerto Rico and was hoping i could get some opinions on what type of workouts i can do at the beach. I would ask my coach but we are in a dead period right now so yeah. (I live in Maryville, Tennessee and go to Maryville High School BTW) any replies would be GREATLY appreciated! thank you
