What happened to the Croatian woman who was leading the pack?

Derek Yorek!
Dude just pulled the elites to a 4:39.
I think he can hold on.
Another mile or so.
Yorek has 2:31 marathon to his credit. 2014 Cowtown Marathon Champion.
Derek has always been a showboater, even in his days at Adam State.

sh's probably still running 5:40 pace - she was running her race early but everyone was just real slow at the start so she led.
Women’s race splits
Mile 1: 5:38 (Nemec leads large pack)
Mile 2: 5:28 (11:06)
Mile 3: 5:19 (16:25) (Deba took the lead at 4k, drops three women, pack stringing out with Desi a few meters off the back)
5K: 16:57 (2:23:03 pace)
Mile 4: 5:23 (21:48) Linden in the lead. 11 women in the lead group
Mile 5: 5:46 (27:34) Deba leading, still group of 11
Mile 6: 5:38 (33:12)
10K: 34:23 (17:26 5K) 2:25:02 pace, Duliba leading
Aleksandra Duliba of Belarus (6th last year, one spot ahead of Flanagan) is your leader at 10K.
Yorek also ran for Houston:

... He's falling off now.
Tsegay leading, Meb, Ritz, Teg, Arciniaga all in fairly large pack of about 20 men.
Men's race
4:39 first mile (crazy first 100 for a few guys like Tola - no sense)
4:50 2nd mile according to organizers in press room (4:48 according to Rawson)
Thanks. I step out for a pot of coffee (early here on the W. Coast) and the leader disappeared. #162 is nowhere to be seen on the men's. What a noob.
Is that Makau who's already falling off the back?
I'm so glad they showed the feature on the snow.
It really helped a lot.
please former soviet union woman...do not run well....
Alas, poor Yoreck[
Ritz looks like he's bouncing on a trampoline compared to Meb.
I spotted Desi and Flanagan. Where are the other American women? Go Meb!

I see what you are doing there and I approve
Can everyone stop going on about Yorek, move on.
Where's Makau?
From Derek's facebook page...."Ok Facebook peeps...the #bostonmarathon is on Monday and I'm going to try and lead the thing as long as possible! Having only been running 3-4 times per week and never running over 25 miles in any given week for the last 6 months, I'll set the over/under at 3 miles...comment how far YOU think I can go (if at all!). (Feel free to share)"
