Jeramy Elkaim of Oregon wins big 3K at Seattle Indoor meet with a 7:48.48! At the end, he was pulling away from a quality field, winning by near 4 seconds. Elkaim could be a major threat at Nationals, as he seems to be peaking at the right time. .

I was about to post the exact same thing.
Holy Sh*t, what a race! About 6 or 8 guys ran brilliantly, in a great field, and
Elkaim comes from a year-and-a-half of oblivion, and CRUSHES all of 'em.
Interesting career this kid's had. A stunning 8:46 in the NJ MOC as a freaking junior.
Then a somewhat disappointing senior year.
Mediocre Frosh year at Oregon, goes backwards Soph X-C, then suddenly explodes with a series of brilliant races in the late winter including 13:39 and 3:59.
Mediocre Junior year. Sits out indoors, never comes back to form.
Looks lousy X-C this year, then starts to show some signs in the winter,... and, all of a sudden, THIS.
These Jersey Boys: when they can stay healthy for a little while, they're freaking *lethal*.
Would be nice to see "Jersey Boys" Elkiam, Ches and the Rosa twins all competing healthy this outdoor season.
a huge talent
Hard to believe a 13:39 7:48 sub 4 guy would never help you in xc
Kind of what his hs career looked like, meteoric performances and then others
