I'm a sophomore middle distance runner and I have to run in the varsity DMR this weekend. Freshman year I ran a 1500m in 4:18 but I don't think I'm in that kind of shape just yet. I could probably go like 2:08 or so in an 800m as an idea of my current fitness. Anyone know what time/pace per lap I should be aiming for? I've never run one of these before.
