Not Madeira.
NJ boy: CBA
NJ girls: CBA
Both genders: West Des Moines Dowling
Any reason for the dislike? My team almost beat them in a dual meet this year but our #2 guy was out. It would've been the first time someone beat them in a dual meet since 2008.
Colorado:
Boys - Mountain Vista
Girls - Ft. Collins, followed closely by Monarch. About a decade ago Smoky Hill's girls (and boys for that matter) were quite prominent on the national scene.

No mention of Newton North boys? I can count 3 all state team titles (indoor, outdoor, indoor) in the past couple of years, not sure about before that. Girls aren't bad either
Yea, nice, read much? THe thread asks about the best XC programs, not track.
Pennsylvania
Boys: West Chester Henderson
Girls: Pennsbury
In no particular order:
Girls:
1.Great Oak A
2.Great Oak B
3.Great Oak C
4.Great Oak D
5.Great Oak E
Now that is just for now! We are starting 2 new programs where we are trying to get our 3rd-6th grade kids to work up to 100 miles a week. Lastly we are working on a prenatal program where the mom puts in 50 miles a week while pregnant once we get that dialed in FM is going down. Dam I am genius!!!
5/10
Lol. The two you're talking about are sisters.
I see what you did there...very clever! Haha! ;)
But seriously, nobody touches us in the prenatal department. Nobody.

Understatement of the century. Carmel has been to the state meet every year since '76.. 39 straight. 13 titles. 10 runnerup. Indiana is also single class.
Alan
Double understatement. Carmel is the most amazing HS in the mid-west.
They've won many, many state titles in all sports. Just unbelievable.
I'm not even from IN but have a tremendous admiration for Carmel and their coaches.
Fayetteville-Manlius for both, but for some reason we race against CBA and they are in our section even though theyre nj and were ny

Any coach, and I use that term loosely, can take 100 girls and put them through a grinder and end up with 5 girls that run 19. Show me a coach or team that can start with 5-7 girls and have two of them running 17 minute 5k, and I'll take that team as being "Best".
Maybe 'any coach can do it', but no one in MT other than Clint May at Bozeman has actually DONE it, for the last 8 years straight. Just without an excellent coach and a great person who does not put kids through the grinder at all.
I completely agree with you that Bigfork certainly has two great girls in the Morley sisters (both great runners and really nice people).... but it is also true that they were both national class runners even before they got to high school. They'd be insanely fast in any program!
'...without ^question^ an excellent coach...'
In Pennsylvania, I would put North Allegheney over Henderson over the past five years.

You'd be right based on States. I think Henderson gets talked about more as they have done better on a regional/national level, plus being from the eastern side of the state there is more of the population base.
Since 2010 here are the following finishings at the State meet:
NA: 1, 3, 4, 2, 1
WCH: 2, 5, 1, 1, 8
O'Hara: 3, 2, 2, 3, 3.
Both of O'Hara's 2nd places were via a 6th man-tie break that lost the State title, one of those to WCH (the other to North Penn).
If you used the average finish, NA has an average finish of 2.2, O'Hara has an average 2.6, and WCH has an average of 3.4. That said, NA and Henderson have won 2 title's to O'Hara's 0. I'd rate the teams NA, WCH, O'Hara.
