I don't think a wide receiver should be yelling at his defense to pump them up.
Most defensive players are in involved in almost every play, with contact.
A wide receiver does not have much to do with most plays.
The defense needs a defensive leader to get them going.
I see Tom Brady yelling to let off steam but not get in the face of his defensive players.
I don't think his yelling makes the players say "let's do this for Dez!"
In the end is he really motivating these guys or not?
If you see results, maybe it's OK.
I didn't see them play better against Philly because of the yelling.
The Bears scored 21 in the 4th quarter last night.
Just make a play. Play your position.
Do you guys remember when Dez hit his own mother and the NFL didn't even care? This is classic, emotional Dez. This is also why I hate him.

Stick to soccer.
BTW, please show me a situation where Dez Bryant's 'rage' stopped him from making a play? Actually, show me an example of 'rage' by him period. Please don't show him yelling on the sideline as an example of rage. Im talking about a real example.
Here's a real example: he hit his own mother.
Hey guys, me again. Don't forget to Google the time when Dez made a jewelry shop go to court to get him to pay for jewelry the shop "loaned" him before he hit it big.
P.S. Dez Bryant is a total a-hole and did I mention he hit his own mother?
Thanks for proving all of the idiots on the thread to be idiots.
Like I've said on another thread, some people are mentally strong enough to put personal bias aside in a debate, others are not. You are the second one.

Is he shouting encouragement and ripping guys for missing a play?
Football is a rough game. Nothing wrong with getting animated. If his teammates like it why should some un-athletic pink on a message board care.
This applies perfectly to the idiots on the thread.

So, do his teammates like it?
They surely wouldn't tell the press what think one way or the other.
If they like it then it's OK.
If not, it's detrimental to the team.
who cares. Dez is a thug and fellon
Then the debate is over. Many teammates and coaches have spoken openly about how much they love Dez because he is a great teammate.

What is a fellon?
Maybe you mean felon but are too stupid to spell it correctly? In which case, you are wrong again.

You aren't very smart are you? A specific example of his rage was asked for and I provided one. He hit his own mother. He is a terrible person. Great player, but a total jerk. Did I mention that he HIT his own MOTHER? People defending him are what's wrong with the NFL. Doesn't matter what you do if you're good enough. You people are pathetic. Shame on you. He should be playing rec ball somewhere abusing more women.
Absolutely disgusting and pathetic.
I know "dial it up" is most likely a troll because nobody would ever truly be that pretentious on an internet message board so I'm not going to dignify him with any more responses. I would like to remind everyone that Dez Bryant hit his own mother. He hit her. Did I mention that he engaged in domestic abuse?
Have a nice day, all.

I'm fine with that.
But they don't looked thrilled when we see it on TV.
The Eagles were publicly fine with Terrell Owens' remarks .... until they suspended end then released him.
Then the Cowboys backed him ... until they released him.
49ers traded him in his prime.
If they win it's OK.
But what if they don't make the playoffs again?
He'll still probably stay there actually.
As a Cowboy hater, he's a good guy to root against.
This discussion was about Dez Bryant screaming at his teammates. NOT about any off-the-field issues.
First, let's straighten out the facts regarding the statement "Dez Bryant hit his mom." The facts are this: Bryant hit his mom in the face with a baseball cap. He ripped her clothing. His Mother did not press charges. The DA pursued the case even though Bryant's mother didn't press charges. The DA ended up dropping their case.
I'm not saying it's OK that Bryant used violence against his mother; rather clearing up the true facts surrounding the story.
With that said, the topic on this thread are about Bryant's actions on the sidelines and how it affects his team and teammates. Again, his teammates love him. He's viewed as a leader. I don't see any negative affect with regards to him being vocal on the sidelines.
Of course he'll stay there. A recent poll of GM's showed that if they could have ANY wide receiver in the league they would overwhelmingly choose Bryant. You gotta take off the cowboy hating goggles.
Just got home from work. LOVIN THE POSTS BABY!
Anyway, going to eat a hot pocket, ice my foot, and then I'll post some more.
By the way, no teammates of his are going to publicly say they don't like his actions on the sidelines. That would be bad for the team. They would be idiots to do that. "Dial it up"...Did you see what I did there? I used your word you love so much.
Anyway, I truly think the way he acts is out of control and bad for the team. Just my opinion. He was the same way against Philadelphia...and will be the same way next week. There is a big difference between Tom Brady getting emotional like he does after bad plays and Dez Bryant cursing out the team to play better. If you don't understand the difference, you just don't want to see it. You don't scream at coaches either. That's insane. It shows the undisciplined mess of that organization. Same thing when you have Jerry Jones coming down on the sidelines in a tight game. Same thing when Jerry is talking to Romo about getting back in the game after an injury.
I just think it doesn't help the team. They have been 8-8 how many times? Right now they are 9-4 with a chance at the playoffs. Will they make it? I don't know, but I personally do not think they will. ESPN is going crazy that the Cowboys won't be 8-8 this year. When they had only 2 losses and people were talking about them being #1 in the league, they looked like giddy school girls. Like, COME ON MAN! Is it really that exciting? They have been such a huge upset in the NFL for so long. If they make it to a championship game, then okay, let's get excited and act like giddy school girls.
Hot POCKET TIME
4/10. I bit. Nice job.

I wouldn't want him on the team. He acts like a fool. Get him off.
This sort of thing tends to look worst on TV than it does on the sidelines.
Good point. I agree.
Listen though. Screaming at the coaches or your teammates because you ran on 3rd down instead of throwing...absurd! You have to agree with that kind of stuff. He was doing that!
I want to see Manning call an audible to run on 3rd down, it go bad, and have a receiver start screaming at him. That's not how you win championships. It's just evidence of a further problem in the organization.
